Smell: Roasted malt aroma with full notes of melted semi-sweet chocolate, dark caramel, and nuts.
Taste: Rich, roasty semi-sweet chocolate taste with hints of anise and molasses. Faint taste of peanut butter. Moderate acidity. Some grassy hops and light notes of coffee appear near the bittersweet finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. A mouthfeel as lusciously smooth as the name implies.
Drinkability: Highly recommended, it’s a very tasty RIS from the folks over at Foothills. Kudos for hiding that 10% abv, too! bu11zeye (5675), Frisco, Texas, USA

Nice lacing even in a plastic glass. The aroma is sweet roasted barley and oats with a nice chocolate and cocoa powder backbone. The flavor is really roasty. Barley, sweet and dark chocolates, crisp oats/barley flavors, roast without a ton of black patent. The palate is rich, creamy, only slightly astringent. Oily and very viscous. Very balanced. jimbowood (983), Athens, Georgia, USA
