Bottle. Dark golden, medium white head. Swet, slightly bready aroma, no real hops in the nose at all. The palate is much the same, but with a mildly bitter finish. Nothing bad here, other than plainess, but certainly not worth $6 a bottle.

Pretty much a nothing beer, nothing bad but nothing at all good! Not quite as sweet as it’s cousin ’premium draught’ but alond the same lines...sweet NZ rubbish

500ml bottle, pale light straw golden, decent head but thins. Very light sweet aroma. Short and sweet malt flavours. Very sweet. Call it a honey lager...???

Tasted 27/05/2008. 500ml bottle from Island Bay New World. Pale gold, big lingering pure white head, sweet, very light esters, tinny grassy hop character. Short. Classic kiwi sweet pale lager. Clean and well made but why would you bother?

Bottle, a clear light gold with a thin white head. A simple and soft malty aroma, some sweetness, but not offensive. Again, a soft malty palate, growing a bit too sweet in the finish. But a pretty good lager really.

Except for the the colour slightly lighter than the first I tried. The smell was sweet corn with a faint aroma of hops but well hidden. The taste was corn with almost no bitterness, thin and watery.

Bottle 50cl. Golden clear body with medium size white head. Fruit and a little malt in the nose. Flavour dominated by sweet malt and a litte fruit.

(On tap) Clear, golden with a white head. Lightly sweet malt and fruit in the nose. Medium in body with lightly sweet malts, a whiff of flowers and a very discreet bitterness. Just a tiny bit more character than in the two previous Hawkes Bay beers. 020208
