urbnhautebourg (934), Annapolis, Maryland, USA Sep 9, 2002 Updated: Aug 21, 20032003 batch: Maybe served a bit too cold. Maybe drunk a bit too fast. There was some good hop flavor here (a tiny bit of lemon), decent pale malt flavors, and a pretty intense bitterness. Troegs is more to my liking, but this is fine. Not the profound Germanic experience I had last year (but of course last year was in the sunny biergarten, this one was alone in the dark basement bar).
Old: Ar. 10; Ap. 4; F.8; P.3; Ov.17. 4.2. I remember this aroma from my trip to Bavaria--an absolutely wonderful American rendition of German Pils. I would recommend drinking this one on its own. Food robs this beer of its very nice but delicate malt.
