Commercial Description:
Our German-style light lager has all the flavor and character of a fine crafted beer, without all of the calories. Fordham Light is bottom-fermented, making it a lager beer. It is a light-bodied beer with a clean aroma. Fordham Light has a clean finish with little to no hop bitterness and is brewed with 100% malted barley. Most low calorie lagers are produced by simply adding water to regular beer until they become a low calorie beer. This dilution can be quite unsavory when one considers the adjunct brewed (e.g., corn or rice), flavorless beer they start with. Fordham Light is brewed with the same high quality ingredients and procedures that we use in all of our beers. We purposely brew Fordham Light to be a low calorie beer. This is why Fordham Light has a "real beer" flavor and a "real beer" body.

Sampler off taps Dominion Brewery 05/10/2008. Clear very light straw well carbonated. Grainey malt and corn aroma. Some light malts and corn in the flavor. Fairly clean lager finish. Typical american light lager.

From a bottle poured clear golden with a little head. Very weak tasting, watery, with a skunky aftertaste.

Pours a light golden color with small white head. Crisp and clean with slight hops and bitterness. O.K. for a light beer.

Draft. Typical North German/Dutch lager, with slight skunk/rubberband aroma. Crisp taste, not so much skunk, and light palate. Heineken is better on draft, but I have never tried Heinie Light so maybe that would be a better comparison.
