Jukkabro (2981), Tampere, Finland Oct 28, 2009 Deep dark amber colored with little yellow head. Rich aroma with chocolate, toffee and nuts, rather sweet aroma. Medium bodied, soft and creamy palated. Flavor is also very nutty with chocolate also, aftertaste is sweet still with only thin hops. Doppelbock from the sweet side, still smooth and easy to drink db. fonefan (10868), VestJylland, Denmark Sep 25, 2009 Bottle 33cl. Clear medium brown amber color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, roasted, caramel, oxidoid malt, earty - damp stained. Flavor is moderate sweet and light light bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20090530] kappldav123 (1790), Markkleeberg, Germany Sep 16, 2009 The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass also. Alcoholic aroma. Starts soft-malty, not too dry or too sweet. Notes of chocolate and fruits - plum and raisins. Soft finish, well balanced. Not bad! heavy (808), Split, Croatia Aug 18, 2009 0.33 l bottle from Interspar, Udine. It poured a brown body with medium sized head. Caramel and fruity aroma, quite fine. Flavor was a bit empty, sweetish with some caramel, fruits, sugar, touch of coffee and some spicy bitterness. Quite lot of things I’ve stated here, but somehow doesn’t feel complex, probably as it lacks some body. Finish showed up some alcohol again, but not too much, or it was much when you consider the ABV. Nothing special for me, although fine. Doggythedog (1541), Split, Croatia Aug 15, 2009 Bottle courtesy of and shared with heavy who brought it from Italy (huge thanks!). Poured a dark brown red body with a small off white head. Full malty nose with notes of dry figs. Dry malty taste, figs again, a bit salty, coffeeish. Some tasty but very light herbal hoppy bitterness. Pleasant and well balanced but didn’t think it was all that special. Might need to rerate it because the conditions were hardly optimal at that point. MesandSim (5790), London, Greater London, England Jul 6, 2009 A Mes rate. Bottle at the Weekend of Tarts. Thanks to Bullseye for this. A rather attractive clean amber colour with a thin off white head. Sadly it’s all down hill from there. Full on wheat and pukey malt. Lots of nuts and raw cocoa. Harsh and unbalanced. bu11zeye (5430), Frisco, Texas, USA Jun 24, 2009 (Bottle) Pours a brown body with a small beige head. Aroma of caramel, cocoa, vinous, and raisins. Flavor of cocoa, roasted malt, toasted marshmallow, nuts, and caramel. alexgurac (11), lugano, Switzerland Jun 6, 2009 non mi piace molto,i profumi si sentono poco e ricordano il malto caramellato, in bocca scompare subito
