Great for an italian brew! azlondon (667), Fribourg, Switzerland

Thank you, Beerbiker
Pours deep brown with a small, creamy, beige head. Aroma has lots of rye bread and some caramel. Great, creamy mouthfeel. Sweet, malty, almost cloying flavour, but it is saved by a fair, hoppy finish. pivnizub (5089), Bochum, Porúří, Germany
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 25, 2008 Bottle. Clear, ruby-amber coloured, visible carbonation, firm creamy tanned head. Sweet wine, toasted/roasted malt and a tinge of alcohol in the nose. Moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied. Drier bitter-sweet finish with influences of brandy, sweet fruits and chocolate. Good, well balanced and well rounded Doppelbock................
