[33cl bottle] Clear, dark amber colour with a thick beige foamy head. Molassy sweet malty aroma with strong notes of caramel, reminding me of Bavarian Blockmalz, accompanied by notes of sugar beet. Sweet flavour, full bodied with a soft carbonation. Solid, slightly roasted malty taste with distinctive notes of barley and draff, accompanied by shy herbal hops. Sweet and strong malty finish with a lasting, minimal prune-fruity aftertaste and a light but balancing hops character. [11.XII.08].

Pours brown from the tap with a tan head of foam. Smells and tastes of toasted malts, caramel, and possibly honey. Medium bodied, but with noticeable water content. Fit for afternoon consumption with lunch.

Darker brown coloured beer with some light carbonation and an average off-white head. Roasted and malty aroma. Full creamy palate. Finish is roasted, creamy light bitter with a stronger alcoholic and herby ending. Not bad this one.

Tap. Chocolate malt with light smoky aroma. Medium brown with small head. Chocolate/brown sugar flavor with a slightly astringent grass hops finish. Nice bitter beer - pretty good - a bit light stylewise.

Tap 0,40ltr at Bar Al Carcan, Venice, Italy: Dark ruby coloured brew thats revealled its Austrian/German ancestry. Very sweet malty taste but that not bad in this case.
