200ml draft sample at the Aviano Inn. Poured reddish brown with a one finger beige head. Malty aroma with some roastiness present. Taste is very sweet with fairly strong alcohol notes, some roasted malts and just a touch of coffee and chocolate. A bit too sweet for my tastes but not bad.

Pours deep ruby red with a sizable head. Sweet, malty aroma and a crisp, sweet, deep malt flavour. Excellent offering from Forst.

Bottle. Chocolate in the aroma. Grainy sweet flavor with cacao powder, the stuff you make cheap chocolate milk with. Medium bodied, but alcoholic for its modest ABV. Nevertheless a decent bock.

Bottle via OKBeer - many thanks. Crisp brown body with a good sized head that fades shortly after the first sip. Sweet character in the aroma, like the molasses of baked beans, burnt brown sugar. Similar flavours of molasses with just a hint of charcoal smokiness. Smooth medium palate (3+). A different take on a doppelbock. Interesting.

Bottle shared with and courtesy of Jerc (thank you!). Dark copper, small tan head. Rusty malt, hay bale, Worcestershire sauce, molasses aroma - unique. Really malty taste with tons of molasses, roof of your mouth sweetness. Some sort of bitterness in there to. A unique creation, and a tasty one!

Bottle, 6.5% in Rome. Sweet aroma, brown sugar and pepper. Clear brown colour, unstable head. The flavour is also sweet and sugary with a rough bitterness.
