Draught @ Venice Italy. Small creamy beige head that mostly lasted. Light sparkling clear body with a mahogany colour. Aroma was light buttery, caramel, liquorice, roasted. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Flavour was sweet with light notes of burned bitterness. Sweet finish with slight burned bitter notes.

Beautiful deep chestnut to ruby colour; good darker yellow head. Quite some bread, some malt, sugar and dark fruit - but overall VERY sweet smelling. Taste is way much less sweet, again more fruit, fruits on concentrated juice, bit of nuts, coloured malts, but all the same some sugar/restsugars. Very well bodied, bit syrupy - not too much, but served at freezing temperature all the same. Good, if a tad sweet "Doppel"bock - but IMO it’s just a Dark Bock and not a Doppel.

Dark red brown, clear with a nice tan head that slowly diminishes. Aroma is caramel and roasted malts. Taste is quite sweet and sugary with roasted nuts. Slight achohol on the finish but otherwise the flavour remains sweet throughout.

Bottled. Red / brown in colour. A beige head. It has a rich malty aroma of burnt malt and some sweet ingredient as well. The flavour is sweet and malty, ashes with a sweet and malty aftertaste. Thanks to Dorqui for this one.
