Bottle from Keg Liquor. Poured hazy brown color with a large frothy brown head that was mostly lasting with excellent lacing. Moderate smoke malty aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy woody bourbon flavor with a medium to heavy bourbon bittersweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where exceeded.

Poured from a bomber purchased in Littleton, CO. Aroma- Rich bread-like aroma, crystal malts and some roasted malts are present. Caramel and chocolate notes exist as well. Appearance- Deep Brown with red highlights. Great Clarity, low head. Flavor- Rich malt taste hits first, full of chocolate and caramel. It tastes like a high alcohol beer, however the ethenol is moderate. There is some bitterness, but malt is the star of this show. Lots of oak-derived vanilla, very high sweetness. Good flavor. Palate- Huge body- very sweet. Low carbonation, but silky smooth. Overall impression- This beer showcases malt, a bit too sweet, great flavor though!

Bottle courtesy of bu11zeye. Clear red to ruby pour. Tiny head. Some peppery beef on the nose with some light smoky malts. Taste has a smoked flavor as well with the aftertaste of beef jerky. A nice flavored smoked beer.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a clear brown body and a tan head. Aroma of smoke, toffee, caramel and vanilla. Taste is alcohol, spice, leather and a bit of bitterness. I couldn’t detect much character from the Stranahan Barrel. Light carbonation.

Bottle. Pours clear mahogany with an average, frothy light tan head, somewhat lasting with spare lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, cookie, caramel), light hop (flowers, grass), average yeast (dough, leaves) with notes of smoke, ash, plum, and vanilla. Medium bodied, creamy texture, average carbonation, and a chalky finish. Long duration, moderate sweetness, light acidity and bitterness.

Tasting courtesy of Barrios. Brownish copper color on the pour. With a nice light tan head. Aromas of sweet malt, vanilla, caramel, and light bourbon. Barrel flavors are nicely none. Light to medium oak and whiskey flavors are nicely integrated in this brew. Well done.
