Commercial Description:
Chocolate malt and roasted barley provide the dark color and fully body of chocolate stout. Toasy accents and a hoppy dryness add to this smooth brew. An old time favorite you'll remember.

For a six-pack chocolate stout, this was decent. Nice subtle aroma of bitter chocolate and roasted malt. Flavor was smooth, with hints of dark and milk chocolate, as well as some coffee notes. Finish is dry with a hint of bitterness. A good choice for an inexpensive chocolate stout.

Had on draft. Pours black with a thin brown head that is wispy. Tastes roasty with slight coffee notes along with chocolate. Decent mouthfeel and the hoppy bitterness is decent.

Dark pour, with a tan head. smells sweet. Tastes like espresso, and some chocolate in there. touch of hops for balance. overall just okay, nothing special about it really.

12oz bottle from BOTW. Pours black without much head. Aroma is some chocolate, but some smokiness as well which would normally be welcome except with the chocolate. Not a very pleasurable experience.

I picked up a case of Ft. Collins Chocolate Stout from Shangy’s and have been slowing going through it. Even with an aggressive pour I was not able to obtain more than light foam. Chocolate, roast malts and coffee flavors are part of the mix here, but nothing outstanding. Light bodied stout, little bitterness, but more of a middle of the road when it comes to flavor. It would have been more acceptable if the price tag matched the quality.

Fort Collins Chocolate Stout poured almost black into the glass leaving a small tight head with good lacing. The aroma was of Dove Dark Chocolate. The flavor was chocolaty of course but there was also a strong taste of cola. It was sweet and smooth with a pleasant mouthfeel.

(bottle - 12 oz) Black pour with a thick and creamy tan head. Aroma is very dark and roasty with hints of coffee and some light hints of creamy chocolate. Roasted malts come through at the beginning of the flavor with a bitter and roasted coffee middle and a rather bitter roasted malt finish. Chocolate is very light in the flavor but comes through a bit in the aftertaste. A little watery, but good flavor.
