Commercial Description:
Chocolate malt and roasted barley provide the dark color and fully body of chocolate stout. Toasy accents and a hoppy dryness add to this smooth brew. An old time favorite you'll remember.

Pours a dark brown/black with a 2 finger creamy tan head. The nose is sweet, chocolatey, coffee, malty, little to no roast. The flavor is thin, roasty, bitter, sweet, bitter coffee, bakers chocolate. The palate is a tad thin, dry bitter chocolate.

12 oz. bottle. Pours black with a moderate tan head that lasted until mid-glass and left no lace. Very pleasant aroma of chocolate, coffee, and roasted malt. The flavor is predominately tobacco with some roasted malt and a touch of chocolate. Unfortunately, the flavor does not mimic the aroma, and I am not a big fan of tobacco flavors. Mild-moderate bitterness at the finish.

Bottle Pours a deep dark brown with ruby highlights and quick fading dark tan head. A hint of Bacon in the aroma. Some smoked malt, Roasty chocolate, chalky, and an acidic twinge of sourness in the flavor. Not bad. Draft was as not quite as acidic.

Bottle, pours dark with a decent tan head, plenty of malts, some roast, some chocolate, some bitter roast. No hops really , I think maybe a little creaminess would benefit this brew but oh well its not too bad.

bottled, this one leaves me with a bad taste. not literally, just thought it would be more. dark pour with good size head that lasted for a minute or so. you can smell the malts and the sweetness but to me there is no flavor or aroma of chocolate. just kind of a bitter taste not very good but this is just my humble opinion.

Bottle. Pours near black with a tan head. Sweet, lightly roasted aroma, with chocolate and oats. Bitter dark chocolate flavor with roasted malt and a hint of hops. Not bad.

Bottle from D&J Liquor in St. Louis, MO. Pours black with a decent tan head. Aromas of toasted malt with a touch of chocolate. Medium body with slightly fizzy carbonation. There’s coffee bitter, burnt malt bitter, and chocolate? I am not getting chocolate, except as perhaps an after impression in the finish. A good drink, just not quite what I expected.

Pours dark chocolate brown, with a small cappucino head. Roast malts, mild roast coffee, burnt toast, dry leaves and milds hops in the nose. Flavor is lots of roast malts, then bitter coffee and hops, a little nuttyness, finish is bitter hops and coffee, and a little dry chocolate at the end. Mouthfeel medium to thin, and a little over carbonated. Orverall a slightly better than average stout.
