| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 25, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours black with a moderate tan head that lasted until mid-glass and left no lace. Very pleasant aroma of chocolate, coffee, and roasted malt. The flavor is predominately tobacco with some roasted malt and a touch of chocolate. Unfortunately, the flavor does not mimic the aroma, and I am not a big fan of tobacco flavors. Mild-moderate bitterness at the finish. Butters (1651), Virginia, USA

A hint of Bacon in the aroma. Some smoked malt, Roasty chocolate, chalky, and an acidic twinge of sourness in the flavor. Not bad. Draft was as not quite as acidic. jetzler (622), oklahoma city, Oklahoma, USA

No hops really , I think maybe a little creaminess would benefit this brew but oh well its not too bad. tmongoose (39), Louisville, Kentucky, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 12, 2008 Bottle from D&J Liquor in St. Louis, MO. Pours black with a decent tan head. Aromas of toasted malt with a touch of chocolate. Medium body with slightly fizzy carbonation. There’s coffee bitter, burnt malt bitter, and chocolate? I am not getting chocolate, except as perhaps an after impression in the finish. A good drink, just not quite what I expected. fidelis83 (729), Clinton, Iowa, USA
