Commercial Description:
Chocolate malt and roasted barley provide the dark color and fully body of chocolate stout. Toasy accents and a hoppy dryness add to this smooth brew. An old time favorite you'll remember.

Bottle, 12 oz. Pours black with a brown head. Chocolate malt aroma. Soft carbonation, almost flat. Maybe this was a bad bottle, but I think this beer lacks bite

I very much enjoyed this beer. I was a bit surprised by how low the abv was - tastes higher, which I see as a good thing. Good smell, nice chocolate flavor, very prominent toasty flavor as well. I also really enjoyed the dry ending to it. All around good.

12 oz bottle. Poured deep brown with a medium sized brown head which quickly diminished. Aroma of roasted coffee and cocoa. Taste of cocoa, slightly roast coffee and nuts. The hops are present in the finish which I believe is uncommon for a chocolate stout. The body is fairly thin.

Pour is dark with a medium tan head. Aroma of cocoa and light malt. Flavor is a little sweet with a lot of cocoa. Could have been a little more mellowed out with malt. Decent. Probably won’t buy again.

12oz Bottle: Pours very dark brown w/ no head. A good swirl of the glass reveals a small light brown head. Aroma is of coffee, roasted malts, just a hint of cocoa & a bizarre metallic note??? Nice roasted malt flavor w/ a bit of sweetness. Dry finish. Also, more chocolate flavor starts to come out as it warms. Not bad, not great either...

12 oz bottle: Big black pour with a sticky, thick tan head. The nose is sweet with dusted cocoa, brownie, vanilla bean and milk chocolate. Lighter notes of caramel and roasted coffee below. Medium mouthfeel that delivers a nice, silky carbonation. The body is less chocolately and more roasty. A nice dose of roasted java melds well with the milky body. Drinks nice and easy, but is complex enough to keep me interested. Good stuff.

Bottle. Great beer. Love the dark chocolate tast. A little too bitter in the end but still great. Smells of the traditional stout. Recommend it.

Dark brown with some ruby highlights near the top and bottom of the glass. Aroma is chocolate, and alot of caramel, with a touch of roast.coffee, and lightly yeasty. Taste is chocolate and mild roast, light metallic hints, with a solid caramel malt base and mildly yeasty/bread. Finishes with lingering roasty bitterness and dry chocolate. pretty decent.
