Commercial Description:
Chocolate malt and roasted barley provide the dark color and fully body of chocolate stout. Toasy accents and a hoppy dryness add to this smooth brew. An old time favorite you'll remember.

Pours a mostly dark black stout with a thin off white head and some thinning lace. Aroms is msotly chocolate malt withs some hints of espresson, coffee, and yeasty doughy notes. Good full choclate stouty flavors, big body full malt character, dough, rich black burnt malts,, and sweet chocolate. Lightly bitter finsh but smooht overall. Nice stout.

Aroma of chocolate, coffee and cigarette ash. Black appearance with a medium head. Thin palate. The flavor is a decent amount of bitter chocolate, and that’s about it. This is very easy to drink.

Aroma: Pleasant roastiness with hints of chocolate, otherwise clean. Appearance: Low head retention, jet black. Opaque. Flavor: Roastiness, but not overdone. Some hop also presents itself in the finish. Would like a little more roast maybe, and no real chocolate flavor stands out. Palate: Lower carbonation, however with very smooth and medium-high body makes this very easy-drinking. I feel a little more carbonatin would bring out the taste and aroma a little better however. Overall: Solid stout, nothing too flashy but a good stout.

Bottle. Pours dark black with a medium sized tan head. Aroma is dark chocolate, sweet cream, roasty malts, and teriyaki sauce. Flavor is full of chocolate, smoke, coffee grounds and a bitter finish. Mouthfeel is a bit thin, not so much that it ruins the beer, just enough to motivate me to comment about it.

Nice chocolate in the nose, and pours with a beautifully dark richness that reminds one of the fine loam of good farmland. Tastes of earthy, smooth chocolate with subtle coffee undertones. Neither as complex nor as flavorful as I prefer, but a good sipping brew for a hot afternoon.
