Commercial Description:
Chocolate malt and roasted barley provide the dark color and fully body of chocolate stout. Toasy accents and a hoppy dryness add to this smooth brew. An old time favorite you'll remember.

Pours black with a thin off white head. Roasted grain and chocolate aroma. Taste is a little light with nice chocolate flavors some roasted grains and bitter dry hops. Decent stout.

Bottle at home ... Deep black thin tan head ... nice chocolate malt nose ... big roast ... little chocolate ... little milk sugers ... little bitter roast ... flavour is nice but the nose promices more ...little chalky ... mouthfeel is a tad disapointing...

On tap at Dive 96 NYC. Pours black with no head. Faint roasty, grainy aroma. Palate is pretty thin but flavor is ok. Hint of chocolate but roasty and slightly burnt. Not overly filling but decent amount of flavor.

Tap@Dimarco’s in Uniontown, PA->honker. Pours a tan, medium head atop a black body. Aroma of chocolate, otherwise thin. Dry mouthfeel, chalky aftertaste A decent beer, but not great--too dry and chalky for my liking.

12oz bottle. Black with some stained glass red edges when held to light. Smooth chocolaty aroma with just a hint of bitterness. Flavor-wise, I think this one hits the mark. Lots of smooth, roasty chocolate, with just enough mild cocoa bitterness to keep it refreshing. There are some Porter-like, qualities, maybe you could get away with calling it a Chocolate Porter. Knitpicky. I like this beer a lot, a great session Stout.

This was a rather demure chocolate stout. Very subtle, too subtle for my liking, compared to its’ peer group.

Pours dark brown, black in the glass, just a little light getting in around the corners. Medium khaki head, fine lasting lacing. Smells of coffee, chocolate, molasses, and pine. Medium velvety, crisp body, lightly dry, more like a porter than a stout. Flavors of plum, apple, chocolate and citrus. Medium bitter aftertaste. Well balanced and fairly drinkable.
