Commercial Description:
Chocolate malt and roasted barley provide the dark color and fully body of chocolate stout. Toasy accents and a hoppy dryness add to this smooth brew. An old time favorite you'll remember.

Bottle. Poured black very short brown head. Sweet nose, with malt and chocolate. Body was somewhat thin. Flavor was dominated by chocolate and malt. Finish is dry bitter chocolate. Not my favorite.

A mahogany pour, with a pillowy tan head that leaves nice lace. The nose is quite acute, with stark notes of mixed chocolate and coffee hues. There is an amaretto effervescence at work, too, that lends a nice richness and full java blend to the bouquet. The flavors are of deep dry-roasted malts, smoky bitter chocolates and coffee beans with coffee grounds afoot. Mid-palate there shows a small sweetness that dissipates into a lingering roasted biter finish. The mouthfeel is smooth and quaffable. Nice contrast between the initial bouquet and the offering on the flavor palate. Very decent brew here. Much promise.

The aroma has a definite chocolate character to go along with the burnt malt and coffee. The appearance is dark brown with a smallish head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is average for the style. Overall a decent stout but a little chalky.

Pours a dark black with a nice thick, tan head. Aroma has lots of roasted malt notes, light coffee but overall very light. Flavor is a bit watery overall but has a bit of a nutty note with light coffee and a touch of dark fruit sweetness and some nice chocolate. The density of the beer is pretty light but overall nothing about this beer will be memorable but in the same sense nothing is ugly about it either. Just an overall well rounded beer.

Thanks sebletitje for the share. Pours black with tan head. Nose is chocolate, coffee, hops, and some bitter chocolate. Flavor is lots of dark chocolate with a touch of cocoa, hops, and chicory. It is medium-bodied and nice with some bitter chocolate/ hops in the finish. Overall interesting beer.

pours black with thin beige/mocah head. Aroma is malty, chocolate. Taste, roasted malts, light bitter chocolate, some hops and bitterness in the finish. Beer keeps an interesting coffee like aspect.

Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, ciffee, nutty notes, peat notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20081122]

Light chocolate aroma, a bit like a Nestle bar. Flavor is dry chocolate. A bit thin, but very easy drinking.
