Commercial Description:
Doktor Lager is a malt accented pale lager, mildly hopped with a straw-blonde brilliance. Cold-aged in our cellars to give it a clean refreshing taste and extremely smooth finish. A year round favorite for all to enjoy.

This was something I tried at the brewery that was supposed to be only for the beer club. Has a bit of spicy mustard seed thing going on. Fresh biscuity bread notes, and a little bit of honey. Clean, with some spicy, bitter hops in the finish.

Nothing special here. Not terrible, but not great either. This one was only slightly better than a domestic macro. I helped to put away a six-pack and it went down easy enough, but I can say I wouldn’t bother with it again. Don’t go out of your way for this one.

Bottle at the brewery. Yes, bottle at the brewery. This was supposed to be seasonally released the following day, so not yet on tap. Poured a light amber with a small, mostly diminishing white head. Slight skunky aroma. Small skunkiness in the flavor, tad malty, slightly sweet, slightly bitter. Tasted like a Mexican pale lager.

Bottle: Vibrant straw in color, very clear, moderate white pillowy head, spotty lacing, very subtle carbonation.   Pale malt nose, slight oats, hay, and unfortunately overdone green beans.   Oh man... total overcooked green bean on the tongue... this one is tough.   Slight pale malt, a bit of sweet grass, but its totally overshadowed by the nasty overcooked vegetable.   This is no Helles.   Drain pour...   Bad bottle?   Thanks for the label Ernest.

Beer pours a clear, medium gold color with a small, creamy, mostly diminishing head and a little lacing left on the glass. The aroma is strong with aromas of lightly toasted grain, sweet cookie, chamomile flowers, strawberry and honey. The flavor is moderatley sweet with an average-length clean finish. The palate is light-to-medium body with a watery texture and lively carbonation. I found this a highly drinkable brew and really enjoyed the aroma.

Tap at the brewery. Fizzy straw body with lots of bubbles. Nose-cardboard. Taste-reminds me of the taste of dry black eyed peas. Very much a light helles. Tastes more like a pale lager.

Light gold body with lots of carbonation. The white head is very dense. The aroma is celery, tomatoes and chicken soup. The taste is rich with green beans and some carrots. A little bit of black pepper spice in the finish. A decent and light summer brew.
