| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Oct 25, 2004 The Doktor pours a clear gold with a fizzy white head that quickly dissipates.
Its aroma is some maltiness with some DMS, slight grassy hops and a little fruitiness.
The flavor is bready, sweet, malts initially with light bitterness at the end. There are some citrus and banana notes. It is light bodied with a syrupy mouthfeel.
Overall, better than a typical lager, but it just didn’t work for me.

| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Oct 15, 2004 Deep gold with a thin, white head. Dark fruit, sweet, grainy, almost chewy aroma. A cloying, sweet, plummy malt flavor. I would rather have a beer with little or no character than this. I want to look at the worst rating I have given so far and make sure this is below it. This brewery is surely trying to make a well-crafted beer, they are not some large regional brewery trying to eat up some extra capacity by inventing a fake brewing company to sell beer to a lousy chain store. OK, enough of my soap box. But this was a drain pour. Crosling (1855), Loveland, Colorado, USA

Nice nose of damp tree branches, wet socks, banana, peach and nuts.
Starts out with notes of clove, banana and peach which gives way to a long and lingering finish of nuts, dry pilsner malts , herbs and a lovely light fruitiness. A Helles lager? Possibly, but a nice, malt accented lager just like it is. ¾ (4999), Colorado, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 10, 2004 This beer was sampled at the Fort Collins Brewery. This beer poured a light yellow color, clear, with a thick white head which left a little lacing on my glass. The aroma is piney with cloves and citrus predominating. There’s also a hint of mountain grass in the aroma. The taste is malty but incredibly dry, with a doughy citrus and clove finish. Some sweet breadiness to round it out, but a tad too little too late. mdi (573), Nebraska, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 19, 2004 12oz bottle golden color, head faded leaving a wispy ring of white, could be my glass b/c head quickly returns when I swirl the beer. smells like nice pils malt...light to medium bodied, crisp with some hop bitterness in the finish. Nothing fancy, but malt is there--a bit lingering, hops are muted. I’d get bored drinking this very much, but its decent to slug down after work. Drew (2410), Kent, Ohio, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 12, 2004 This started off as a nice Helles - some light hops and bready malts. After a few sips, it started to taste too sweet and the hops seemed to disapear.
