Courtesy boboski. Poured a dark amber color with a thin light tan head. Looks thick in the glass. Aroma is of light smoke melded with caramel. The smoke aroma didn’t overpower, though. The taste was slightly sweet with the smoke faintly creeping to the taste buds, particularly at the finish. Well done, I liked it the longer I sipped it.

Bottle... This beer rocks!... Clear, dark orange lager with a small, creamy, white head. Decent retention. Smoked bacon and caramel malt nose. Big and malty, sweet and smoky flavor. Adequate bitterness and a hint of acidity. Full-bodied and oily with modest carbonation. Lengthy, bitter, smoky finish. Kudos to boboski for sharing his bottle with us!

Pours a dark maroon with a light white head. Big smoke right off the bat mixed in with a little light fruit and smoky malts. Very smooth and easy drinking. Sweeter in the taste than I was expecting. A little caramel and dark berries, the smoke is more in the background and the aftertaste. Kind of in the back of the throat. Very nicely balanced. Good beer.

Deep caramel colored pour with a thin off-white head. VERY smoky aroma with a bit of sweet fruit under. Active carbonation, light and refreshing mouthfeel. The smoke in the flavor is a bit too much for me, a small amount of sweet raisin can be detected.

12oz bottle via trade with Crosling! - Thanks Nick! - Pours dark copper with a fair tan head that stayed fairly well. Aromas of smoke, lots of caramel, a touch of chocolate, and some roasted malt. Flavor is caramel blended with smoke, roasty notes, and a kiss of chocolate. A touch of raisin finds its way through as well. Palate is smooth and medium bodied with soft carbonation. Sweet finish..

Bottle. Thanks to hopdog for sharing this one. Pours a dark amber body with thin head. Aroma is of smoked meats, jerky. Flavor is bready, sweet and slightly dry. Smooth with a nice full flavored palate. Definately a sipper. Ends slightly sugary.

Thanks to hopdog for sharing this one... Appears a semi-transparent light caramel color with a small, off-white head that slowly fades into a collar and mild cap. Spotty lacing quickly slides back down like an oil slick into the mild collar of foam. Smell is of light smoke, heavy malt, meaty, caramel, cocoa, freshly cracked grain, and toffee. Taste is of the aromas with light cocoa and caramel hanging on top of the beef jerky flavors. Mouthfeel is sweet and smokey, medium bodied, & mostly smooth

12oz bottles acquired in a few trades. Bottle had a 2006 label on it. Poured a deep orangish color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of smoked meats (with some smoked fish), caramel, chocolate, and roast. The smoke was definitely in the forefront. Tastes of smoke (but not as strong as the aroma), caramel, light chocolate, and toffee. The smoke was done nicely all around in this one. Just noticed it was 10.2% and never would have guessed that!
