Bomber. Pours opaque black with sturdy tan head. The aroma is chocolate, some ashy notes, vanilla, and distant coffee. The flavor is chocolate and a fairly strong ashy wood character. Some earthy and slightly herbal hops keep it from getting too sweet. Chocolate is pleasantly subtle and comes out more in the finish. Gets a bit roastier as it warms. Good.

22oz. bomber, with thanks to Brewthusiast for the nice bonus. Pours dark brown with a large fluffy tan head; nice retention and lacing. Aroma is milk chocolate, roasted malts, nuts and caramel. Flavor is pretty much the same, with the chocolate running most of the show on this one. Not bad but fairly one dimensional. Thanks again Travis!

Bottle from jessup plaza. Poured a dark color with a small brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, and some coffee. Taste is drinkable and somewhat light with roasty notes and chocolate through out. Not bad.

Draft at redlight redlight. Pours black with a thick tan head. Roasted malts dark chocolate with some coffee on the nose. Very rich roasted malts bitter chocolate with notes of roasted coffee. I don’t get a lot of chocolate more intensely roasty flavors. Could be a little thicker, more body.

Draft at redlight redlight. Pours very dark, even opaque, a little creamy but not particularly thick. Good nose with a lot of roasted malts, bitter cocoa and hints of coffee. A little sweet but not as much as many other chocolate stouts. Still it loses a couple points on the flavor. Only the chocolate stands out, while the other flavors recede too far into the background. Could use a little more complexity and a richer, creamier mouthfeel but still deserves a try for what its worth.
