| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 25, 2009 650 ml. bottle. Pours a thick, lasting, mocha colored head, over a dark (SRM 30) clear body.....nose primarily coffee with hints of chocolate....taste is bitter roasted malts with coffee and a bit of chocolate, there is minimal if any sweetness, and the finishing bitterness lingers....mouth feel is thick but not creamy, carbonation is low. This is a pleasant, but not particularly complex brew. It is NOT a sweet stout, and is rather hard to place in the pantheon of stouts. missing (72), Wichita, Kansas, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 12, 2009 Black body with a tan head. Aroma is dominated by chocolate and roasted grain. The flavor actually reminds me more of a dopplebock than a stout. However, it is very good. Smooth body with low carbonation. All in all, very nice. RollinHard (761), Fort Worth, Texas, USA
