A black appearance with a beige head. The aroma was coffee and chocolate. The flavor was quite roasty with more chocolate and coffee showing through. The aftertaste was rather bitter. Overall this was a great stout.

Bottle: pours dark black with thin tan head. Beautiful, sweet nose. Nice malty taste, with roasted coffee and chocolate lingering taste. Medium body with light carbonation. Surprisingly easy to drink, very little bitterness. A well balanced, enjoyable brew.

Bottle. Pours pitch black with dark tan head. Loads of chocolate and coffee on the nose and palate as well. Dark roasted bitter chocolate malts that lead to a slightly bitter finish. Great DCS!

Oh baby! Too rich for my blood is what she said. I say this brew hits the mark. Very dark opaque in color with a two finger head that recedes slowly to a thin ring of lace. Strong aromas of chocolate roasted coffee. Nice! Medium nectar with ample residual effers. It’s very expansive on the palate, almost too much. A strong roasted coffee component balanced by chunky mounds of dark chocolate. Oreo cookie (the dark part), malted wafers, The finish is bittered well leaving me with the desire to carry on as if I was a soldier returning to camp in a dense rain forest. Overall this brew is rich and chocolaty with defined coffee essence and a hint of mint. It’s not viscous but carries itself well. Even as it warms DCS has a great constitution.

ABV: 8.1 % RateBeer rating: 82 Calories: estimated at 400 C Volume: 22 fl oz. Glass: Weizen, English Pint Purchased at: Joe Canal’s Lawrenceville, NJ Price: $5.99 Consumed at: home First Impression: Aroma is nice, malty, syrupy, and dark. Visuals are absolutely black opaque body under a tan head that thins quickly. Taste is chocolate, coffee, malt, and roasty goodness. Delicious. Palate is thin, wet, and sweet. Finish is short lived and simply bitter. Second Impression - not a great beer, not overwhelming, but not bad. There are better beers for less per ounce than this one, but it was a fairly enjoyable experience. Aroma: 7 out of 10 Visuals: 5 out of 5 Taste: 8 out of 10 Palate: 4 out of 5 Overall: 17 out of 20

22oz bottle. Darkest brown with a medium tan head. Heavy chocolate aroma with some coffee. Same flavor with a malty finish. Simple, but tastes mighty fine.

Bottle. Pours black, with ruby edges, large tan head, nice lacing. Aroma is cream, coffee, chocolate, roasted malts, touch of vanilla. Flavor is similar. Cream up front, then loads of chocolate, with a nice bitter finish. Excellent beer.
