Bottle from pdee Thanks!

Pours a lush brown/amber tea, with a frothy head and clinging lace, like sea foam. Aroma is a sour peach with blunt hops. Flavor is spicy and bitter, with a bit of pepper and cinammon. Interesting. Palate is suitable. Not a bad beer; not bad at all.

Deep red. Nose lightly hoppy, some caramel and brown sugar. Bit soapy. Flavor is toasty caramel and mildly bready. Fruitiness is a bit odd, lemon and something like overripe orange, a bit off. Still, nice maltiness, and decently backed by hops. Good palate as well. Reminded me a bit of a poor man’s Boulevard Bob’s 47.

This beer pours a clear, dark amber color with a small, mostly diminishing head with a tiny bit of lacing, Aromas include a beautiful, big fat, sweet blast of roasted malt, brown sugar, and sweet cookie. The flavor starts moderately sweet and ends in a long, lightly sweet finish. The palate is thin-to-medium with a watery texture and soft carbonation.

Bottle poured a hazy amber with a small off white head. Aromas of carmel apples and sweet malt. Palate was light and crisp. Flavors of sweet malt, carmel, and some fruitiness with a crisp, slightly bitter finish.

This is a recent arrival in Iowa City. A darker red body that is almost amber. The aroma is full of apples and some earthy raw potatoes. The taste is light with some tofee and a little bit of celery. There is also a spicy finish of clove. This is a decent lager, but a little to much vegetables in this.

Draught. Pours amber with a thin edgy white head and lined lacing. Caramel sweet malt and fruit hop aroma. Caramel sour yeast and sweet malt flavor with a bitter hop end. Medium bodied and creamy palate.

Dark amber color with a taller light tan head. Toast and grains aromas, akin to a slice of toasted whole grain bread. Hints of mild marmalade and DMS (seems to be part of the grain thing). Dry toasted malt reaches the tongue along with some sorghum and other odd sweetnesses. Some mild earthy peat seems to find its way in the mix. Seems like it would go well with a sausage on a whole wheat bun. But than again, there are a lot of other brews that would fit that bill also. Lots of sweet toasted malt in the linger.
