Pours cloudy yellow color with a white head. Smells of clove and spice. Taste of citrus and malt with a nice dry finish. BlackDonald (1127), Boise, Idaho, USA Jul 29, 2008 This is a little bit on the light side, but it is at least a pretty decent take on one of my favorite styles. A little too heavy on the citrus, but has some good textbook qualities, clove and banana, with a solid wheaty cereal malt backbone. Beaver (587), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA Jul 4, 2008 16 oz, on draft at the brewery. Pours a hazy golden with a white head that quickly goes down to a thin film.
The aroma is typical hefe - bananas, cloves and spices.
The flavor is sweet malts, some fruits, spices, bananas, and cloves with a dry finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and slightly watery.
Overall, it’s a pretty decent hefe (not my favorite style). It’s a bit on the mild side.
