Jul 8, 2008 Bottle. Dark reddish-brown with a small, tan head. Toasted malt aroma, with sweet dark fruits and a hint of smoke. Big malt taste, with sweet fruits. Lingering malty bitterness. Very tasty amber ale.

Jul 3, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours a medium amber with a thin head. Aroma is nutty, toffee, caramel light chocolate hints and perhaps a bit of smoke (not surprising from this brewery). Malty, sharp crystal malt flavors, sweet caramel, toasted and burnt malts, with just a light hop balance, and a clean finish. Pretty good for your standard amber ale.

Jun 24, 2008 Bottle. Dark garnet color with a frothy light beige head. Mostly sweet caramel/toast malt aromas and flavors with some fruitiness and earthy qualities. Had a distracting salty note underneath which bothered me.

does not count  Jun 23, 2008 Good looking beer, a deep red with a tint of orange and a tall, creamy beige head. The aroma is sweet and malty, has a touch of toast, apples, and berries. The flavor is toasty and sweet, fruity with a light earthy bitterness to balance it out. Good session stuff.
