Not red enough in color to be a "Retro Red." Very small head the quickly disappears. Not much of an aroma, but what I can make out isn’t bad. Nice balance between the hops and the malts. I thought the hop flavor really dominated the taste, which was surprising for an amber ale. I enjoyed the hops, but I don’t think it was very true to form.

This amber ale is very disappointing, with a semi-watery and bland body. The nose is almost nonexistent, with only a small touch of grassy hops & caramel-toned sweetness. The body is light, but smooth and fairly drinkable. There is just enough hops in the flavors and finish to keep you interested, but not enough to make it stand out from the rest of the crowd. This is basically just your average amber ale that you could drink while at a poker game or out with a group.

Pours a dark copper ruby with a very thin fizzy tan head. The nose is sweet, malty, caramel. The flavor is watery, very mild bitterness, grainy, bitter chocolate and coffee, malty, peanut shells. The palate is watery and thin.

Fat Tire rip-off label. Copper beer with thin head. Thin burnt toffee aroma. BItter woody beer. Mouth drying but not much too it.

12oz bottle. Dark clear amber pour with a small head. Full malt aroma that unfortunately has a harsh graininess that comes through as it warms. The flavor is rather dull. Chaffy grain with abrasive pine like hops along side (no integration). Medium body with a semi-dry finish. Pass.

Bottle. Pours a beautiful ruby color with a medium white head. The aroma is quite nice; lots of caramel, some pine and berries. The flavor was also very good; sweet caramel malts, lots of sweet fruit flavors, especially berries, some grainy notes, and a lot of hops, especially in the finish which is mildly bitter. What a nice amber ale. Totally unexpected, but nice. Very drinkable and full flavored.

Bottle. Pours a beautiful clear crimson color with a minimal white head. Malt, even more malt, and a hint of hops. Flavor is subdued but the mouthfeel is velvety and smooth which then resolves into a slightly bitter finish.
