Aroma of some hops, malts and the like. Flavour was of a typical amber beer, nothing special here other than an easy drinking brew. Rather boring and unremarkable. Spend your hard earn green on something else. Brewbie (228), New York, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 5, 2008 tap at the brewpub - Pours red (duh) with a thin, light tan head. It has an aroma that’s mostly lightly roasted caramel malt. The flavor is mainly caramel malt as well though it has a decent hops bite. Still, the commercial description saying this is their "hoppiest specialty ale" is kind of puzzling. The hops isn’t strong. Anyway, it’s a very straightforward red and quite quaffable. estoppel (1028), Buffalo, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 4, 2008 Bottle. Dark red body, not much nose, tan head. Malty, moderately sweet, some hop character. Drinkable. ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 4, 2008 Bottle from Total Wine. Pours out a dark red color with a thick brownish colored head on it. Smell is full of malts and perhaps even a slight touch of coffee. I did like the smell alot. Taste was smooth and easy to drink, very rich and sweet but not overly sweet. Something I would drink again, this would go over nice with people who don’t really like good beer yet. beerheart (237), Erie, Colorado, USA

Aroma is sweet with some roasted malt. Thin body. More bitter than most ambers I’ve tried. Nice hop bitterness. Caramel notes. Finished with a thin watery and metallic taste.
