Bottle from Total Wine. Pours out a dark red color with a thick brownish colored head on it. Smell is full of malts and perhaps even a slight touch of coffee. I did like the smell alot. Taste was smooth and easy to drink, very rich and sweet but not overly sweet. Something I would drink again, this would go over nice with people who don’t really like good beer yet.

This poured a nice amber red color with almost no head. Aroma is sweet with some roasted malt. Thin body. More bitter than most ambers I’ve tried. Nice hop bitterness. Caramel notes. Finished with a thin watery and metallic taste.

dark amber in color with a head that disappears quickly. Light hop aroma. Average body to the palate. Tastes of hops with a hint of malt. Slightly bitter after taste.

A deep red brown color. Small beige head that disappears quickly. A sweet floral hop nose with some malty cotton candy. Chocolately caramel flavor with some metallic notes. Just a touch of bitter at the end. Pretty average body.

Pours a deep red with a mall white head that fades very fast. Aroma is seriously lacking here. A bit of malt. Flavor is malty and slightly bitter, but lacking any sort of distinction. Not a very good amber at all.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of Naka. Pours a dark, ruby red with a small, caramel-beige, foamy head. Nose is sweet caramel with a hint of chocolate and roast. Notes of hop in the nose, but not very present. Taste is lots of caramel and toffee, a touch of roast that mixes with some hope bitterness, but no real hop flavor. Watery taste to it. Thin and lacking, but it sticks to the back of the throat. A weird, chocolaty roast flavor. There’s a lot there, just not in the right order/quantities. This is a perfect example of when "complex" is too much.

Had on draft at Brew Kettle. Poured a nice amber red color. I am sorry, but the aroma on this one turned my stomach. Smelled like wet weeds by a pond. Very hoppy as well in the aroma. Tast was sweet and hoppy and grassy. Not bad, just blended slightly off...

Bottle. Poured a mostly clear amber color with a thick persistent white head. Aroma is pretty mild, with toasted malts and mild earthy hops. The flavor was bland, with the hop character being kind of weak and muddy on the finish. Pretty uneventful.
