| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 19, 2009 Pours dark brown, almost a nut brown ale in appearance. Modest head didn’t last. Still, quite aromatic but somewhat unpleasant - the caramelly nutty nose just came across in an "off" way to me.
On the palate is a sickly sweet caramel taste with some hop balance, but still it’s mostly a caramel extract like sweetness. Finish is short. KAggie97 (2469), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA

Pours an average mahogany with a thin, almost lifeless body that doesn’t even begin to entice the drinker. Semi-decent head that quickly fades into the body. Aroma is nutty cotton candy, a touch of cinammon, a pinch of nutmeg, and a smidgen of pumpkin. Flavor is a watery mess of nutty malt, pureed vegetables, weak pumpkin, and butter. Weak, lifeless mouthfeel. Blech. fluffy (229), Florida, USA

Very malty with a touch of swetness thin bodied decent session beer I like the carbonation it throws over ur tongue and pops some flavor over it. scoth (283), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 5, 2009 Pours clear, medium burnt umber, with a medium beige head, fine lacing. Rich aroma of toast, toffee, cherry, and some earthy grass notes. Medium-light body, zesty, crisp, lightly dry. Flavors of grass, toffee and grapefruit. Light bitter finish. Very drinkable. arrogantb (707), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 1, 2009 This thing had the most vicious head, I swear I poured it slowly and carefully and still got a half glass of head. The color is as the label describes ruby red. It smells a little musty, the taste is malty, it is an ok beer but not a great beer. It kinda made me think of Fat Tire at first (not good) but then it became its own distinctive beer. I will still be plowing through Ft. Collins lineup as the Rocky Mountain IPA is so damn tasty.
