Commercial Description:
We ventured into unfamiliar territory to create an IPA to fit our style. An intense floral nose, firm balanced flavor and long hoppy finish make Rocky Mountain IPA our very own.

Bottle. Pours hazy copper orange with off-white head. The aroma is citrus hops and some sweet bread. The flavor is some dry citrus and pine, over a bready malt backbone. In the middle it gets zesty and earthy with some cracker notes, leading to a lemony finish with some green wood tones. Not superior, but definitely drinkable

Clear caramel copper color with two fingers of light tan head. Nice drooping spikes of lacing and good retention. Nice aromatic and astringent hops. Very sweet malt body with a nice lingering citrusy dry hop finish. Very solid IPA.

Bottle. Pours an orange color with a thin head. Aroma is grassy and citrus. Flavor is citrus and pine. Pretty weak for an IPA. Still a decent beer. Finish is bitter like an IPA but not to over bitter. Overall an all right beer. Nothing great though.

(bottle) slightly hazy orange-gold with OK off white head. Aroma of floral/fruity hops. Flavor is mostly fruity/floral hops - not terribly citrusy. Some malt for balance.

12oz bottle. Been sitting on this one a couple months. Initial aroma is wildflower honey and nectarines. There is a little caramel, biscuit, and floral hops too. Taste is sweet caramel with a mild bitterness that is somewhat floral, but very unassuming. The finish is balanced with a bit of lingering bitterness. It seems like this one was a little more malt based with the hops used primarily for bittering. The hop flavor is pretty understated. Nice, but after having a Free State Hop Picker IPA, I was in the mood for a good old American IPA and this was certainly not it, but good in its own right.

Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm. Pours out in a clear amber colour with a rocky off-white foam. Spicy, orangey and resiny hop-aroma with touches of nectarines and passion fruit. medium-bodied with notes of spicy and resinous hops with strong notes of orange-peels and cedar wood. A bit flat mouthfeel. Long bitter finish of orangey, leafy and spicy hops. Quite a different US IPA, leaning more to an amped up UK IPA.

12 oz bottle from Lukas Liquor Superstore. Pours a very clear golden/orangish/copperish with a thick, very creamy and foamy off-white head that lingers for quite awhile. Really a good looking beer. Very lacy. Smells of floral hops, grapefruit, caramel malts, and some woody notes of pine. Not overly complex, but a pleasant aroma. Very quick malty taste, pretty clean at first with a very dry and sticky finish. Medium bodied. Intense hoppy flavor with some citrus notes and pine sticking out the most. Long bitter aftertaste that kind of makes me pucker (not sour, though) and thirsy. Leaves my mouth really dry. Overall, not a very balanced IPA. To me, there is no real malt taste, the intense bitterness just drops in there too quickly. The flavor isn’t bad at all, its the feeling it leaves in my mouth and the weird balance that bothers me. Not a terrible IPA, just not worth getting again.
