The flavor is less appealing, but still very good. Could use a bit more maltbackbone as the resiny hop flavors come off as a bit bracing. MI2CA (1266), Noblesville, Indiana, USA

Pours transparent brown with a medium head and great lacing. Flavor matches aroma with the hops being more intense and a little hot. Palate is crisp and tart. A nice session IPA if you don’t want to forget you’re drinking an IPA after a couple. BrianHagmeier (257), Coralville, Iowa, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jan 11, 2008 12oz. bottle. Sharply citric, sweet aroma, plenty of juicy grapefruit and toasty, honeyish malts, with lighter notes of pine and brown sugar. Hazy medium orange-amber color with a lasting, fine head. Flavor is immediately bitter and citric, somewhat spicy and very dry, with a faint degree of toasty, lightly sweet maltiness at the finish and a lingering resinous hop bite. Lightly astringent and highly carbonated palate with a medium body. Rather unbalanced and harsh. jgb9348 (2515), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jan 10, 2008 Nice deep amber coloured body with an orange tint and a very thin tan head. Aroma of grapefruity & earthy hops with some caramel, malt and nuts. Medium-bodied; Sharp hops noticeable up front fading to a very strong malty and nutty flavour. Aftertaste shows more nuts, malt, sweet flavours, raisins and some odd cardboard. Overall, not a very good IPA - way too malty and nutty than anything else. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Oliver’s Beverage Center in Albany, New York on 10-January-2008. crazyvin (1254), New York, USA

Very grassy aroma, with a hint of hops. Not a lot of pine and citrus notes which i am accustomed too. Flavor was decent a good balance between bitter hops and earth like malts. Crisp finish mild palate. TopherDrinks (96), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 4, 2008 Pours copper with a fluffy white head. Some lacing is left over. Nose is dominated by grapefruit, grass, and caramel malt. Flavors are green and sharp. Pine, and citrus, with that grassy follow-up. Some earthy notes mixed with a caramel malt backbone follow the hop burn only to finish with a sharp astringency and pine needles. Light-Medium bodied with a good amount of carbonation. kyzr (1127), Belgrade, Montana, USA
