| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 1/20 | Dec 29, 2007 Fort Collings Rocky Mountain IPA
Appearance - Like every other IPA - golden brown with small amount of white head. Like in the parking lot in the back of suburban mom’s minivan at the Snowball dance.
Aroma - Like wood. Like every IPA. Like grapefruit rotting in the back of the fridge, you are drawn to smell it, even though you know it won’t be good.
Palate - Lite and crisp. Almost like sucking on a piece of wood. La la la.
Taste - Woody, bitter as all get out. Did I mention woody? A Weird after taste. Not horrible, but certainly not unique.
Have you had an IPA before? Then you’ve had Rocky Mountain IPA. Rockinout (946), Kent, Ohio, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 29, 2007 Floral nose with hints of beeswax and nut. Mildly bitter with some spice going on (English hops?). On the bottom end of IPAs for me. ChainGangGuy (2613), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 25, 2007 Appearance: Pours a clearish, deep amber body with a small, frothy white head.
Smell: Hoppy aroma of grass, citrus, and resinous pine with a subtle undertone of caramel malt.
Taste: Mild hint of caramel malt, then it’s off to Hoptown! Sweetened citrus fruits, pine needles, and a touch of grass follows. Moderate earthy bitterness. A prick of astringency on the bitter finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Though I could do with out the astringency, it was still an alright IPA. goldtwins (4084), Nesconset, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 23, 2007 Poured a clear deep amber color with a long lasting medium sized off-white head. The hoppy aroma was very floral which carried over to the flavor. There seemd to be a little chocolate in the flavor as well. Light to medium bodied with a mild hop bitterness on the finish.
