| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Nov 6, 2007 Bottled. Mild stale hops, a bit grassy and metallic, and oddly enough some chocolate sweetness. Brothy, too. Dull amber-orange clear with mild haze, topped with a very thin head. Medium watery body, with medium-light carbonation. Starts with medium sweet maltiness, caramel and graininess. Light carbonic acidity and tangy gaseousness, even a tad salty. Dry papery hops lend a mild to medium bitterness in the finish, with a soy-brown sugar cling on the tongue. Dry bitter after, bit metallic. Gregis (1132), Shawnee, Kansas, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 4, 2007 Pours a clear copper with a dense, frothy beige head with patchy lacing. The nose is of earthy, citric, and piny hops with a light caramel backing. Medium-bodied and slick with a significantly bitter, tongue-squeezing finish. The flavor is of resinous earthy hops and lesser notes of citrus, pine and caramel malt. This beer will definitely satisfy if you’re looking for a hop-fix, but I found it fairly unbalanced. Without the malt backbone to counter the big hop bitterness, in this beer, it isn’t really my kind of IPA. natedoggkc (164), Lenexa, Kansas, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 2, 2007 Honestly not the best, even more honest not even close, but nice aroma, easy to drink, and in a public setting quite enjoyable, plus rather universal. Simply put, a gateway IPA. An IPA suitable for bud light fanatics. Ty5592 (1015), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 25, 2007 Sampled at the Odds and Ends Tasting II on 10/19/07: Lightly hazed orange-amber color with a medium white head that dissipates steadily. Spotty lacing. Hops and grapefruit in the nose with a light malt undertone. Medium-bodied with a moderately hoppy character that has floral and grapefruit notes. Some malt and spice is present too. The finish is somewhat hoppy and lingers a bit. Decent overall.
