The taste was bitter, hoppy, with a nice strong bite. My type of beer. obxdude10 (1558), Pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Nov 21, 2008 This is an incredible IPA! It really has everything that one could ask from this style. The beer poured a golden orange color with a soft but thick cream-colored head. There was a beautiful cascade of lacing left around the glass. The aroma was full of hops, with hints of grass, earth and lemon. The body was perfectly balanced and was smooth and drinkable. The flavors were absoutely delicious, with notes of bitter hops, lemon, grapefruit and grass. There was just enough of a sweet maltiness to provide the backbone and balance to this great IPA. The finish was again a beautiful mix of bitter hoppiness and malty texture, with a lingering spiciness and orange peel flavor. This is one outstanding IPA! It was so good that I drank two bottles while writing this review! I wish I had more! bigrond (1048), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Dec 12, 2007 this is an awesome IPA. Full fruity nose, with a dark cooper color. Reminds me of Celebetion. A warm winter feel to it. Dry, bitter and damn good. finishes with lingering hops with a well balanced full bodied flavor. Top notch. If I new the alc. content I might add more points. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 24, 2008 First in a six-beer sampler: an attractive orange-brown body hoists a thick white foam that leaves picture-perfect lacing in the snifter... floral, pine bouquet, bright, vivid and substantial... a bit of complexity on the tongue: hops surround and form a gentle pillow, but the weight is both palpable and palatable.... hops flutter as cirrus smears the glass; by mid-drink, alcohol is still imperceptible... malts are somewhat balanced and ends with a sense of fruity esthers...an above-average American IPA ad one I’d redrink but not to rerate (and to thinK: Fort Collins must be modest in saying they are "new" to the style!)... iamqueensblvd (200), , Iowa, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 4, 2009 Very rich dark amber color. Wonderful floral notes with a lingering light white head. Floral notes stay on the palate and the bitterness is just about perfect. nearbeer (1834), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

Nice sticky, soapy lace. Aroma is grapefruit, pine and chocolatey molasses. Taste is great resiny-citrus hops with some malty cocoa undertones and aftertaste. Palate is smooth, light medium bodied, sessionable and slightly dry. Excellent, vastly underrated IPA bbp182 (255), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jul 8, 2007 Draft at KClingers. Reddish amber with a bit of a foamy head, but it fizzles. Only a light citric aroma so the full-on grapefruit sting is a bit of a surprise at first. It gets mustier and dirtier as I go. Kinda that wet horse blanket thing going on. BIG meaty body.
