Murphy (1759), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA Feb 18, 2006 Growler. Pours with a foamy white head, lots of lacing down the glass. Body is solid gold, clear, with few bubbles. Aroma is grainy, tangy almost sour, sweet, with grassy type hops. Pretty unique aroma for this brewery, nice. Taste is hearty grains, light sweetness. Great earthy, grassy undertone with just a touch of acidity. Light bitterness, alcohol peeks through. Lagering shows, a smooth palate on this one. Nice stuff, I’d love to taste an imperial attempt on this.
