Murky amber with a creamy off-white head. Aroma of smoked bacon, apples, some herbal hops. Flavor is lightly smokey, actually more fruity and sweet than smokey. Hops mostly evident in the finish.

Sep 28, 2008 Deep amber beer with a thin white head. Aroma is softly smokey. Rich and sweet with a nice malty backbone of toasty malts. Sweet and malty with a great sweet smokiness. Soft lingering herbal hops. Really, this is nicely balanced, tasty rauchbier. A bit of spicy hoppiness on the back.

Sep 20, 2008 Pours a clear amber with off-white head. Roasted malt nose Ever so slight smoke flavor to it, has more roasted sweet malt than smoke. If it didn’t say smoked, I would have not really noticed it. Nice spice on the finiish.

Sep 13, 2008 Bottle, little aroma, pours dark amber with a tan head, some medium malts a touch of smoke, some nice hops, it was decent and easy to drink not as smoky as the Alaskan but good maybe a touch more smoke would have been appreciated.

Sep 12, 2008 What a find! Clear dark amber pour with great tan head. Wonderful lightly smoked malt aroma. Flavor of smoked ham. A little syrupy soft body and slightly watery. This was a wonderful smoked lager.

Aug 16, 2008 Thin head which dissipates quickly. Light carbonation. Salty terraiki aroma with some beef jerky, and spicy malts. Nice ruby brown in color. Light smoked flavor and aroma. Slight bitterness and sweetness. Mostly malts and roasted grains. Finishes spicy and with a light salty smokyness. I nice mellow smoked beer. Very easy drinking. I liked this one.
