Gypsy19 (254), AMERICA RISING, USA Aug 14, 2008 One of the oddest things I’ve ever tasted. And not in a good way. Vague apricot and honey flavors. Quite watery. Simply put, it’s not good at all. It’s missing a number of elements, namely quality ingredients and brewing process. Won’t be having again.
2VP (3), Canada does not count Oct 15, 2008 pours with little head, nice colour, very little aroma. tastes pretty malty but there is a hint of hops. a really good session beer. Very drinkable. dkazuk (240), winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Nov 9, 2007 341ml bottle.
Pours a semi-hazy copper yellow. Medium frothy head that fades to a small cap. Aroms of bread, malts, and some citrusy hops. Taste is of those same citrusy hops throughout. Starts out sweet and a little yeasty and then some sourness in the finish and after. Not all that bad or good. pintbypint (883), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Jun 17, 2007 Sample from 341ml brown bottle at Edmonton Festival of Beer. Golden colour with fraint trace of white head. Aroma is grainy. Flavour is also grainy with slight caramel notes, trace of lemony hops. Caramel and grain aftertaste. Prickly carbonation, light body. HogTownHarry (3361), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Jun 3, 2007 Bottle (341ml). Courtesy of Oakbluff. Poured bubbly pale amber, solid fizzy off-white head. Aroma is quite bready, with mild cereal gain, lightly roast, very weak slightly funky stale hops - although it’s also a touch harsh, so that might be me mistaking adjuncts for hops. The taste is pretty bland - sweeter than I expected, some caramel and a bit of harsh paper in the quick finish. It’s so fizzy on the palate it’s hard to judge other aspects - I think it’s on the watery side, and there’s a whisper of a cheap malt aftertaste that is neither good nor harsh, just not really welcome. Pretty average stuff - your dad might find it an adventurous change of pace.
