I thought this was a really nice beer, sort of northwest red ale with a bigger toated malt character. In some way reminded me of wreck the halls with a big less hops. Oakes (8115), Kowloon, Hong Kong
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 25, 2007 Cloudy reddish-amber, really fresh crystal malt aroma, like brewing day (it isn’t). Sweet, caramel/toffee character shows chocolate and crystal nuances. Some off-fruity notes hint at abbreviated fermentation but the beer is mostly quality.
