Commercial Description:
An Imperial Saison style. Saison is French for "season", and is typically a summer beer. It’s a style open to interpretation. Our version is fermented with yeast from a small French Farmhouse brewery. Fruity, spicy, hoppy, and very refreshing. ABV= 7% IBU’s= 80

In short: A semi-wild uber-hoppy big body Saison that manages to remains very dry. Excellent
How: Hand-bottle. Consumed fresh the day after I received it. Courtesy of my not-so-secret-santa. Thanks D…
The look: Almost clear golden body topped by a short-lived off-white head. Although the “short-lived” is probably due to the fact that I’m drinking a hand-bottle.
In long: Nose is unmistakably Saison mixing barnyard, dry countryside wild flowers, dusty attic and some fruity esters. Taste is rather dry. I can feel the cereals, I can detect a little sugary sweetness but overall all this dominated by a dry sandy/dusty yeast character that is reminiscent of sand-paper. And the hops!! Oh man, they didn’t go easy on the hops!! Sharp bitterness with a flavour of dry flowers, tree bark, dry oranges and more. A wonderful Stimulus that doesn’t involve a chick or a farm animal licking my private parts.

On tap: The aroma consists of banana, yeast, fruit, oranges, and spice. It’s a transparent golden-amber with a small white head. The flavor starts with banana, yeast, and oranges. The finish is citrusy with light hoppiness, a hint of tartness, and faint spiciness. Medium bodied with mild carbonation.

Growler courtesy of dmschefke. Smells of dry malt, spicy, some fruity hints, ginger. Tastes of dry malt, some bitter hints, spice. Enjoyable, but not a saison, and more bitter than I’d like.

Pours an expected straw yellow with medium white head. Aroma of yeast, wheat, decent hops, and slight tart fruit. Flavor matches well, but is quite a bit more hearty than most saisons. Additional slight sweetness, spices, and a bit more hoppy than I was expecting also. Although it was refreshing, it wasn’t quite as much as I was expecting, but that’s not a bad thing. Very nice, wonder if an imperial saison category might be coming soon!
