A dark amber reddish ale with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, an interesting caramel, funk, treacle, wild grass, lots of fruity esters, lichee, almost Belgian in character. In mouth, a strange and grassy caramel, light spicyness, curacao. Lots going on in this beer. Medium and oily bodied. On tap at brewpub, August 16 2009.

Overall, I enjoyed this drink. It describes itself as being a Scottish Export and it hits the mark on this one. Muddy brown color with nice malty finish and a hint of caramel sweetness. I enjoyed this as an alternative to my usual fare of pales and IPA’s.

Draft. Slightly murky brown beer with a cream colored head. Caramel and light spice aroma. Ditry caramel, light fruit, and light spice flavor. Medium bodied. Slightly medicinal caramel and light fruit lingers. Just felt things were off on this one.
