Papsoe (9999), Frederiksberg, Denmark Mar 12, 2008 (Can 37,5 cl) Clear golden with a creamy white head leaving some laces. Unpleasant aroma of horse manure. Light in body, rather thin with sticky malts and only a tiny whiff of hops. But nonetheless a worthy 10K anniversary beer for my noble beer friend Ungstrup :-) 260208 Ungstrup (11136), Frederiksberg, Denmark Mar 8, 2008 To celebrate my 10,000th rating, I’ve chosen to rate this quite rare beer from the other side of the planet, bought in NZ and brought home by my good friend Papsoe.
A very beutiful dark golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is primarily of cardboard, but also light notes of malt and straw as well as hints of skunkiness from brewing cereal. The flavor is sweet malty combined with notes of cardboard and straw as well as lighter notes of metal and brewing cereal, the finish is dry and the body is thin (no wonder). yespr (6373), Copenhagen O, Denmark Feb 27, 2008 Behold...the almighty Fosters Light! 37.5 cL can. Pours clear and yellow with a white head. Malt, grainy and mouldy. Flavour is artificial malty, light grainy and with a little vegetable note. Ends with a light roasted malt flavour. vmilaxer29 (141), Virginia, USA Dec 19, 2007 I just don’t see the point of having less alcohol. Foster’s is not the great by itself, this is just a horrible counterpart. I really did not like it. golubeer (51), Auckland, New Zealand Oct 20, 2007 Tried it as it was $6 for a 6 pack at my supermarket. Not very tasty. Smells bad. Best thing about it was the price.
