| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 14, 2009 Dark red with brown hints throughout and the actual pieces of the fruit can be seen floating around in it. It also has a large pink frothy head which lasts throughout almost the entire tasting process. The smell is exactly what I was expecting: tart cherries. I kind of wish that the taste was more like the smell but unfortunately it has a distinct artificial/fake taste to it. Overall it is a nice smooth Lambic but there is just something missing. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 14, 2009 Tasted 2009-12-14. 25cl bottle. Had this both fresh and two years old. The fresh version has a very sweet and candy like aroma - almost like almonds. No real funk to detect. There’s cherries in the aroma, but it’s a little artificial. The taste is better, but still not quite there; Too sweet and too little funk and tartness. It has a little acidity, but not enough. The old version is exactly the same(!) - I had hoped it would be a little more dry, but I suspect all the lovely bacterias in this one has been killed by pasteurisation. How sad. kangaroo (45), Everett, Washington, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Dec 13, 2009 Smells very sweet with some cherry. Tastes sweet dry cherry with a touch of alcohol, short, sour finish. White Lacing. It is a little too candy-like and lacks that belgium funk so enjoyable in a Kriek. Lacks depth and complexity of flavor. Some of the cherry flavor comes off a little artificial. Toxygen (327), Sanford, Florida, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 7, 2009 Pours pinkish-red with a tall pink foamy head; quite attractive. Sour cherry dominates the aroma. Flavor is tart cherry fading to sweet cherry. Not much else that I can detect, just lots of cherry. All in all it has an amazing taste, just hard to call this a beer. Fantastic after dinner dessert drink. My first Kriek Lambic, very enjoyable.
