Pretty sweet, there are hints of fruit, but most of the flavor is malt. The finish is a little stronger than the other Founders I've had. All and all, an enjoyable beer. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 19, 2002 Not a bad amber ale, but it certainly pales in comparison to Bell’s or even Mi. Brewing’s Sunset Amber. Aroma is pretty weak with some maltiness present and a tiny bit of Band-Aid type phenols. Taste is clean and refreshing, but in the end it’s just an average ale IMO. brownalegirl (199), Fountain, Michigan, USA

I have very bitter feelings toward this brew though stemming from a bad experience at a ST. Pat’s party at the brewery, so take that with this rating. daboskabouter (1470), Fergus, Ontario, Canada

The original taste is run-of-the-mill. I garner new respect for excellent beers by seeing how far above the rest of the pack they are. Under-age Drinker (96), Colorado, USA
