Commercial Description:
A rich, smooth medium-bodied amber ale. We balance the complex maltiness of six varieties of toasted & caramel malts with the subtle bitterness of Cluster & Willametete hops. A luxury you can't afford to miss. Thanks for your support.

This beer surprised me. First of all, because I picked it up en route to grabbing some old favorites and two, because it was so good. This reminds me of Michelob Amber Bock without the "funny" taste. Pours out to a dark amber in the glass with a slight head. Good malty aroma followed up by a nice, malty sweet taste. The aftertaste is even good with this one and is sweet, but not overly so. I think I may have found a new session beer. Very drinkable.

Another nice Michigan Amber. Pours amber (read: surprise!) with a thin tan/white head. There is a slight hint of candy in the flavor and aftertaste, which is largely grainy malt. I may be suffering from Amber withdrawal; I do not remember enjoying the style as much as I do now prior to my ratebeer days.

A nice Amber, Medium to full bodied with a medium sized beige head. Pleasant malt aroma. Nice malty taste that is sweet but not overly so, with a touch of hops in the finish. a nice very drinkable beer.

I guess this is what I’d really like to think and Amber Ale is. No its not an ale that is brewed with amber ale malts and hopped so much that you can’t taste the malt and no its not my favorite style. The flavor is carmelly and lightly hopped with American hops. It is translucent amber in color. Mildly sweet malty flavor amd finish. This would make a really good session beer.

Ah, the first one. Of the few Founders brews I've had, this is my favorite so far. Pretty sweet, there are hints of fruit, but most of the flavor is malt. The finish is a little stronger than the other Founders I've had. All and all, an enjoyable beer.

12 oz. bottle - Poured a deep amber color with medium head. Aroma - sweet, cotton candy, herbal hops, caramel malt and bubblegum. Flavor - A mixture of sweet and sour flavor. Palate - light to medium mouthfeel. Lively and soft carbonation with short finish with little aftertaste. Overall - I am quite surprised by low ratings. I realli enjoyed this beer and would purchase again.

Had a little trouble with this one at the onset. Cracked the crown, phssst, and on release, out went this highly carbonated brew, and I acted swiftly to get it in the glass, but not without some spillage, and the hasty rescue, left the pint about 5/6ths foam. Licking and slurping the overflow mad for a tasty preview, but I wait now, for it to settle... hazy, tawny orange color, veering into red, but not quite, under an impressive mass of foam, lace-leaving, delicate and whipped-creamy, as well. Aroma: sharply hoppy, vibrant, lively, light spice and fruit, major malt, roasty, sweetish, and tremendously complex. Rich sweetness continues in taste, but ends dryly, and finds excellent balance. there’s something very unique in it’s character, though it also reminds me of Bell’s Amber, no a bad comparison. Shares certain traits with Belgian ales, too. This is an intriquing concoction. body is light, finish a bit short and tart at the end, mouthfeel is soft, and
