Commercial Description:
Big and delicious for your ’perty mouth. Expect lovely, warm smells of single malt scotch, oaky bourbon barrels, smoke, sweet caramel and roasted malts. A bit of earthy spice and a scintilla of dark cherries. It’s a kick-back sipper made to excite the palate.

Sampled at tronraner’s Xmas Eve^3 tasting. Hazy brownish amber pour with a huge boozy nose. Flavor is massively earthy and bourbon. This could be a pretty enjoyable brew if you are looking to get drunk.

Dark amber pour with a light amber head. Aroma heavy with bourbon, vanilla and sweet roasted malt. Taste mirrors aroma. Strong heady brew with taste that speaks of more alcohol than 9.2%.

Bottle picked up at Brawley’s in Charlotte. Clear dark mahogony color with a tan head. Bourbon, oak, and boozy aroma. Woody, vanilla, more bourbon, and a nice caramel scotch ale backbone. Velvety mouthfeel with a slightly hot finish. Nice barrel aged beer!!

Courtesy of kiefdog. Pours brown with tan head. The aroma is bold and yummy with wood, vanilla, molasses and sweet booze. The taste is similar with wood, vanilla and sweet bourbon followed by sludgy molasses and stewed sugary cherries. Yum. It is smooth and silky.

Nice oak aging here that keeps its cool and stays really smooth. Aromas of vanilla and wood. Flavor is roughly the same with a hint of sweetness on the finish. Pour is a dark copper color with a ton of sediment. Under the vanilla and oak you have a bit of red fruit flavors, plum, and some molasses. Pretty tasty.

courtesy of kiefdog. Hard to go wrong with any of Founders Bourbon beers. Just pure goodness. Pours amber with beige head. Aroma has really good notes of Bourbon and vanilla. Taste is extremely smooth, with presence of the Bourbon barrel and oak. Finish is lightly hoppy. This bottle had actual abv of 10.2 Excellent, too bad it is hard to come by.
