Commercial Description:
Big and delicious for your ’perty mouth. Expect lovely, warm smells of single malt scotch, oaky bourbon barrels, smoke, sweet caramel and roasted malts. A bit of earthy spice and a scintilla of dark cherries. It’s a kick-back sipper made to excite the palate.

12 oz bottle. Pours a red-tinged brown with a small light tan head. Amazing, smooth aroma of bourbon, caramel, vanilla, and oak, slightly sweet, with hints of dark fruits and earthy tones. Flavor is earthy peated malts, caramel, oak, a bit of vanilla. Bourbon and oak finish. A pleasure to drink.

Bottle. Pours hazy red with a beige head. The aroma has cheap bourbon, peat, and vegetables. The flavor is cheap bourbon, cheddar cheese, and butterscotch. Pretty bad. Poured half my glass down the drain. Assuming I got a bad bottle, hopefully I get a chance to rerate this at some point.

Black, with a thin tan head. Nice aroma of smoke, bourbon and a hint of vanilla. Nice mixed bag of flavors - smoke, bourbon, coffee, peat, vanilla, coffee. Woodsy, dry finish. Nicely made and very tasty.

Bottle. 2008. Dark copper body with suspended floaties. Off-white head that diminishes. The aroma is dominated by bourbon and oak. Behind that are notes of overripe fruit , caramel and alcohol. The flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, but not cloyingly so, lightly bitter and lightly bitter. It has flavors of vanilla, sugar, peat, bourbon, roasted malts. It finishes with alcohol and moderate sweetness, light bitterness. Medium to full body, velvety texture, minimal carbonation. Easy drinking despite the heavy sweet flavor.

Bottle from BlackForestCO. Thanks! Pours a nice amber sap with an aroma of sweet candy syrup and coconut. Flavor is bourbon infused coconut butter with a hint of oak in the finish. Nice mouthfeel. I want more.

Bottle: Poured a lightly cloudy deep amber color ale with a small foamy head with average retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of bourbon and sweet malt dominates. Taste is a fine mix betwen some bourbon notes with some deep sweet marley with some light dry fruit notes. Full body with average carbonation and no alcohol ester where noticeable. Bourbon might be slightly too present and somewhat overshadows the malt but still very solid beer from this fine brewery.

From a twelve ounce bottle purchased for me in Fairfield , Ohio at Jungle Jims International Market by my girlfriend Nancy - This one pours a golden brew witn a tall white head of foam and an oaky-vanilla scent. The taste was interesting, but too sweet and simple for my choice.
