| 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 20/20 | Dec 13, 2009 Amazing beer! vanilla, oak, toffee, caramel. Smooth and a superb bourbon nose. With just a little more carbonation and this thing would be the top beer ever. Very well constructed. Like an easy-drinking bourbon or a nice cold port wine. Outstanding complexity. slitcher (98), Freeport, Illinois, USA
| 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Dec 13, 2009 Dark amber color with a thin tan head. Aromas of bourbon, caramel, oak, brown sugar and cherries. Bourbon and brown sugar up front with a very complex fruity acohol finish. One of the most perfectly balanced bourbon barrel aged beers I’ve ever tried.

| 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Dec 7, 2009 THOUGHTS: Tons of whiskey, The alcohol was noticeable, but not too much for the high ABV. I didn’t like the first bottle of this I had very much, but after having this second one at a very nice temperature, I love it. Had another bottle of this on thanksgiving night. A perfect nightcap.
TECHNICAL: Bottle Poured a dark red with bright red highlights and a huge, off-white head that mostly diminished, but kept a thick sheet and left excellent lacing. The aroma was heavy, caramel malt, lighter cereal; cherry, cask wood, vanilla and whiskey. The initial flavor was sweet and ever so slightly sour; while the finish was rather sweet, a little acidic and slightly bitter with a long duration. There was caramel malt, cherry, lots of vanilla, a little fruit, whiskey and wood. The light to medium body was slightly syrupy, but oily and then a little dry with soft carbonation and a dry and lightly alcoholic finish. hrking (111), Muncie, Indiana, USA
| 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 20/20 | Jul 25, 2007 Had many beers at the Indy Micro brew Fest in Broadripple..All I can say is FOUNDERS,FOUNDERS,FOUNDERS, The chant went up the draft handle tilted open and this delicious treat poured out into my glass..it was the marquee treat from this awesome brewer..The Breakfast stout was equally impressive but this beer was creamy, vanilla, malty, and just made my palate scream for another glass! the bourbon aging which seems to be a great twist with brewers as of late is the final note that sends this over the top. If you can get it don’t hesitate..you’ll never be the same! effin’ metal!!!!!!! jstraw (774), Chicago, Illinois, USA

| 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Oct 25, 2009 bottle, pours dark brown, tall tan head. Dark fruity aroma of strawberry, oak, sour apple, and light hops. Wow, this is near perfect. Sweet bourbon and again strawberry, I don’t know why I’m tasting it, but I am. Apple skins, more oak and a strong whiskey undertone. So good, creamy mouth with light carbonation. This is what I want in a barrel aged beer. So damn tasty. amp811 (38), Charleston, South Carolina, USA
