Deep hazy orange/amber color... moderate amount of foamy head that dissipated quickly. Predominantly sweet, fruity aroma... elements of dried fruits, some hoppiness. The flavors were fairly harsh due to the alcohol... and there was also some chemical bitterness, possibly due to the hops? Very sweet, a little syrupy, hints of dried fruits and a general sugariness. It’s hard to compete with the heavyweights of this style.

Pours hazy red virtually no head fair lacing. Aroma is heavy bannana and light malts. Taste is heavly sewwt and ends lightly bitter medium bodied dry and a finish or alcohol and lightly astringent. Could use to be aged several months would help it mellow.

9.8% Bottle labeled as Bad Habit Quad - Sugary, sugary, sugary. That’s all that comes to mind when I think about this beer. It pours a reddish honey hue with a miniscual head. The aroma is cider, ether and sugar. Rocket fuel with a twist of apple. Is this the culprit of underattenuation or a nasty bi-product of too much adjunct sugars. Both probably. No yeast character throughout. The body reveals a slightly better malt profile - caramel and plums, but seems clunky and hard to appreciate. The finish is sugary sweet and hot with alcohol brashness. Not a good one in my book.

Pours a beautiful reddish orange. Creamy white head quickly dissipates into the boutique the beers most striking characteristic. The boutique is bursting with a candy like sweetness with a hint of bubblegum (seriously). Traditional beer / ale characteristics like malt and grains/ hopes are lost in the brews overall sweetness. I couldn’t help but yearn for the winter months when I can have a bottle with a thick winter stew or chili. It’s the kind of brew you want to crack open after shoveling snow for a hour.

Pours a rust color with a thick tannish head. Tastes and smells of green banana and a peppery spice, yeast, and some dark fruit. Also a bit of caramel and cherry flavor add into the mix. I shall be revisiting this beer quite soon.

First Founder’s brew that I haven’t immediately liked. Bitter/fruity I like. Sweet/carmel I don’t like as well. This was neither.I think I was tasting mostly yeast.

Pours a murky dark brown that leaves a thick tan head. The aroma is fruit, prunes, figs, brown sugar, plums very inviting with a suttle hop earthiness. The taste is initally good, toffee a bit of alcohal is just faint enough to be noticed. There is a bitterness for balance, followed by a banana fruit salad feel to this brew. As this beer warms up I get more of an unpleasantness from this offering. It starts to taste like cherry nyquil with the alcohal and fruit feel on the palate. This offering from Founder’s gives you a Jekyll and Hyde performance in the beginning it is great but as it warms up the alcohal and off fruit flavors dominate and make this a below average quad.

Bad Habit @ 9.8%. Pours to a hazy reddish-orange body with a thin white head. The aroma is melon, bubblegum, light yeast, brown sugar. The flavor is nice. Yeasty bubblegum, dark caramelized sugars, ripe muskmellon, black pepper. Warming palate with lingering fruit esters.
