bigbeersilove (10), lansing, Michigan, USA Jul 8, 2008 Brewed for (and in conjunction with) the Michigan Brewers Guild. Smells like malt and barley with a touch of alcohol thrown in. its a pretty beer, good, pale head, with nice carbonation and a golden oak color to it. it tastes like a light belgian ale. not much to it really. very light mouth feel. i’d like to see it oaked or bourbonized. right now its just an ok beer, but nice to celebrate michigan beer month with people who are starting to drink good beer. badnewsbeers (1026), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA Jul 5, 2008 this was a contracted beer or an offering from the winner of a michigan brewers event, and it shows. so dont take this as a knock on this brewery...grand "crew" to emulate the fact it was brewed in conjunction i believe...this is pretty much a home brew stock with belgian ale yeast...very boring...hints of spice perhaps
