Yeah, for this, we’ve gotta make the jump straight to Charcoal Speed. Prepare ship for Charcoal Speed! Fasten all seatbelts, seal all entrances and exits, close all shops in the mall, cancel the three ring circus, secure all animals in the zoo! Ah, give me that. Charcoal--! Sir, you’d better buckle up. Ah, buckle this. Charcoal speed, GO!

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 23, 2005 Pours Quaker State black with a thin light brown head. Upfront, but not aggresive dry hop aroma. Some roasty, chocolaty, coffe aromas. Citrus hop flavor with a grainy flavor. Drinks way thinner than it looks, but not to a fault. Chocolatey with a well balanced bitterness. Walt (2289), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 21, 2005 Pour is black iwht a nice dense tan head...smell is somewhat strange...lightly toasty with some citrus notes...taste is sweet and toasty with lots of chocolate flavors up front, then some nice bitter chewy flavors and textures come out...this is another outstanding beer!!! | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 20, 2005 Bottle courtesy of OldGrowth. Pours near pitch black. It’s opaque but appears as a really dark brown. Surprisingly hoppy and roasty with light coffee notes, burnt toast, and dark chocolate. Taste is also hoppy and bitter with stronger cold coffee notes, thinned chocolate, burnt and buttered pumpernickel, light sweet malts and a hint of molasses. Medium feel to this with mild carbonation and has a sleek feel at times. Light lingering coffee-ish bitterness throughout this one. Finishes with more coffee, dark choco notes, light pumpernickel breadiness, burnt toast and light rye. Pretty good stuff! demitriustown (698), Shelby Township, Michigan, USA

Exquisite taste of chocolate, caramel, coffee, and nutty with a bitter-sweet tingle to the palate. Smells awesome, tastes great, and is a very good beer if you can get it, then fricken get it.
